Real Madrid v Milan Preview
Real Madrid’s Form
Real had a sensational 23/24 season which culminated in a La Liga and Champions League double last season and their subsequent signing of Mbappe during the summer. However, Barcelona’s fast start to the season means they currently trail their bitter rivals by 9 points in La Liga.
Real opened their Champions League campaign with a 3-1 victory over Stuttgart following goals from Mbappé, Rudiger and Endrick. However, they then fell to a shock 1-0 defeat to Lille. In the third matchday, it was the typical Madrid display; despite being 0-2 down at half-time they turned on the style in the second half to have a convincing 5-2 victory.
Madrid are show stealers in this competition and another victory would put them in a solid position halfway through the Champions League League Phase.

Milan’s Form
Milan entered the 24/25 of a decent albeit unspectacular 23/24 campaign where they ended it trophyless but finished 2nd in Serie A but were well off the pace in Serie A finishing 19 back of Inter. Milan also reached the Quarter-Finals of both the Coppa Italia and Europa League. Though Fofana and Pavlovic among others signed in the summer their total of 17 points from 10 league matches only has them 7th.
Milan opened their Champions League campaign with a 1-3 loss to Liverpool which was disappointing considering they took the lead early through Pulisic in the third minute. In their second game, they fell to a narrow 1-0 defeat against Leverkusen but finally picked up points with a 3-1 win over Club Brugge last time out.
Though their start has been less than ideal, they’ve easier games ahead so avoiding defeat here would be a sufficient achievement for their qualifying credentials.

Key Players To Watch
Vinicius Junior – Real Madrid
Following the arrival of Mbappe during the summer, there were question marks on what that would mean for Brazilian Superstar Vinicius Junior. However, it turns out we need not be worried and he’s actually outperforming his teammate with 8 goals and 7 assists in 15 games this season including a hat trick last time out in this competition.
Vinicius is priced at 9/2 to be the first scorer and 6/5 to score anytime in this game.
Rafael Leao – Milan
Key to Milan’s chances on Tuesday will be the performance of Portuguese International Rafael Leao (25). The Portuguese International is an elite dribbler and is inarguably one of the quickest players around. In 23/24 in 47 games, he scored 15 times and provided 14 assists though in 24/25 he only has 1 goal and 4 assists in 12 games so far. His battle against makeshift RB Vasquez may bring the best out of him though.
He is 9/2 to score first in this game and 7/5 to score anytime.
Real Madrid v Milan Prediction & Best Bet
Prediction: Real Madrid 2-0 Milan
Real will have been extremely disappointed with their display against Barcelona last time out, but this competition generally brings the best out of them and they can never be ruled out in Europe.
Milan may not have the profile they had during their more dominant years, but with players like Leao in their squad, they can hurt any opponent on their day.
While the El Clasico was a setback, I can’t see Real not winning this game.
Best Bet: Real Madrid -1 @ 11/10
