It is very much squeaky bum time for McLaren following their Las Vegas nightmare but Lando Norris is fancied to settle any nerves in our Qatar Grand Prix predictions.
Norris is 24 points ahead of teammate Oscar Piastri and Max Verstappen after the Red Bull driver’s victory in Sin City preceded a double disqualification of the papaya pair.
Of course, the pressure is on McLaren to react to their technical indiscretion, but the positives of switching to a more favourable circuit in Lusail outweigh any negatives.

Keeping a cool head has not always been a forte for Norris but he showed a new maturity when responding in a calm manner, stating: “It’s frustrating to lose so many points.
“As a team, we’re always pushing to find as much performance as we can, and we clearly didn’t get that balance right today.
“Nothing I can do will change that now, instead full focus switches to Qatar , where we’ll aim to go out and deliver the best possible performance in every session.”
Piastri , who was denied a fourth-place finish, added: “We now need to reset, refocus and push to get the best points possible in the final two rounds, both tracks that we've been strong at previously.”
The Australian can be backed at 6/1 to secure his first success since the Netherlands eight races ago.

Obviously, Verstappen can never be opposed lightly and he has come out on top in Qatar on race day for the past couple of years.
The four-time world champion was 104 points off the title pace at the end of August but is now within a single victory of Norris at the summit.
Form figures of 1,1,2,1,3,3,1 highlight how his consistency has returned and Verstappen left Vegas full of confidence, commenting: “The last few laps were very strong.
“It was a good race for us, we had good pace and everything worked really well.”
Verstappen is the 5/4 favourite to follow up with another win and will feature in many Qatar Grand Prix betting tips, but we just feel McLaren can build on last season’s Sprint race one-two at this venue.
