We've been forced to slash Tiger Woods’ odds to miss the cut at this week’s Genesis Open after punters threw their support behind the golf star coming up short ahead of his second PGA Tour appearance of the season.
Woods made the cut in his only other appearance this season by one solitary shot and was initially installed at 6/4 to miss the cut this week.
His 23rd place finish at the Farmers Insurance Open, in which he shot four rounds of par or better, had seen Woods backed into 25/1 to score his first win since 2013 at this week’s Genesis Open.
But heavy support for other candidates means Tiger has now been pushed out to 45/1 to taste victory at the Riviera Country Club, the venue that played host to his first PGA start as a teen in 1992.
We will once again be paying seven places on the tournament and rewarding customers with free bets should their golfer finish second or third including ties. Recent costly refunds include Dustin Johnson, Jason Day and Phil Mickelson at last week’s Pebble Beach Pro-Am.
