PSG v Borussia Dortmund Preview
PSG’s Form
It has been a strong debut season for manager Luis Enrique at PSG.
The club have already been confirmed as Ligue 1 champions with 3 matches left to play having only suffered 1 loss in the competition this season.
In Europe they have also enjoyed success having made it to this stage of the Champions League. After a tough group draw with Dortmund, AC Milan and Newcastle, the Parisians made it out of the group in 2nd place behind semi-final opponents Dortmund.
They made no mistakes in the Round of 16 with convincing 2-0 and 2-1 wins against Real Sociedad to book them a quarter-final date with Barcelona. A 3-2 home loss to the Catalan side left PSG on the brink but they produced a classy 2nd leg performance away from home, helped by a Barcelona 1st half-red card, to earn a semi-final spot.
Most recently, they lost 1-0 in the 1st leg to Dortmund away from home but will fancy themselves with home advantage to do enough to advance to the final.

Borussia Dortmund’s Form
Despite poor domestic form this season, Borussia Dortmund have managed to exceed expectations in Europe. In the Bundesliga, they are currently 5th and 3 points behind RB Leipzig in 4th with 2 matchdays remaining.
The German club were handed a difficult task from the beginning as they were drawn in what many would have described as the group of death alongside PSG (now fellow semi-finalists), AC Milan and Newcastle. Dortmund would end up topping the group on 11 points to book their spot in the knockout stages of this competition.
Home advantage has been key for the Germans so far in the knockout rounds. They are without a win in their 2 away legs, drawing 1-1 with PSV in the Round of 16 and losing 2-1 to Atletico in the Quarter-Finals, but yet have managed to advance to this stage of the competition thanks to strong home performances, they beat PSV 2-0 in the home leg, Atletico 4-2 at home and most recently PSG 1-0.
That home win in the 1st leg means that a draw in Paris would put them through to the Champions League Final.

PSG v Borussia Dortmund Prediction & Best Bet
Prediction: PSG 3-1 Borussia Dortmund
I’m predicting that PSG will win this 2nd leg by goals and as a result advance to this year’s Champions League Final.
Dortmund have struggled in these knockout stages away from home and I think we’ll see a repeat of that this Tuesday evening. PSG, when at their best, should have too much about them for Dortmund to cope with, especially considering the loud Paris crowd behind them in this game.
Best Bet: PSG -1 @ 23/20
