Christophe Ferland’s charge chased home Bluestocking in last year’s Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe and is fancied to go one better this time around.
Fillies have a fine recent record in this contest, including those returning for multiple attempts, such as dual winners Treve and Enable.
Aventure finally got her long-awaited Group One victory in the Qatar Prix Vermeille on Arc trials day, having also been second in the 2024 renewal of that event, so the omens are good for another big run here.

Maxime Guyon rides the daughter of Sea The Stars ahead of the same owners’ Sosie, who he opted to partner 12 months ago when finishing fourth, and Ferland has been delighted with Aventure’s preparation.
“The filly is very good, she has recovered very well from that race. She’s in good form and we haven’t had any issues,” said the trainer.
Market leader Minnie Hauk has enjoyed a stellar campaign, claiming three straight Group One triumphs at Epsom, the Curragh and York, and Aidan O’Brien did strike with filly Found in 2016, but the Ballydoyle maestro’s only other Arc success was Dylan Thomas in 2007.

Sea The Stars was one of the best ever Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe winners and we’re siding with another of his offspring in the Prix de l’Opera.
See The Fire is a bit of an enigma who sometimes flatters to deceive, but when everything goes right, she can be sensational, as when romping home by 12 lengths in Group Two company at York back in May.
With the style of racing in France expected to suit Andrew Balding’s mare, Oisin Murphy is taken to deliver her with a well-timed challenge.

Francis-Henri Graffard’s filly was hailed as a potential superstar earlier on this season but didn’t quite live up to the hype.
She needed help from the stewards to claim the French 1,000 Guineas and was then outbattled by outsider Cercene in the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot.
However, Zarigana has been laid out for this contest ever since that June reversal and the feeling is that she will benefit greatly from being given a chance to mature mentally and physically over the summer, before hopefully redeeming her huge reputation here.
