Aston Villa
Villa Long Shots For Relegation
Aston Villa are 33/1 in BOYLE Sports' Premier League relegation odds after a 3-0 home loss to Crystal Palace left them with just one point from three games. Villa, who finished fourth and sixth for the past two seasons, have yet to score a goal this term and are second from bottom in the table.
However, head coach Unai Emery insisted his team will recover from their slow start, stating: "The result was clear and we are frustrated and disappointed, but we are getting closer.
"I am confident we are going to start again after the (international) break with a new energy and focus completely."
Wolves
Pereira Urges Wanderers To ‘React’
Basement dwellers Wolves remained stuck on zero points following a 3-2 home defeat by Everton and have been cut to 5/6 to go down.
Wanderers boss Vitor Pereira commented: "Life is to react. We need to react. We need to improve. We need to work more and more. We need to be more aggressive. We need to compete for every ball.
"We need to start again with the right mentality and this is not about to complain. It's to understand, 'OK, you are on the ground, but now it's time to go and to fight again'."
Burnley
Burnley Backed For Drop
Burnley are 3/10 for a quick return to the Championship after a heartbreaking 3-2 loss at Manchester United left them on three points.
The Clarets twice equalised thanks to goals from Lyle Foster and Jaidon Anthony but were ultimately undone by a stoppage-time Bruno Fernandes penalty.
Sunderland
Black Cats Show Battling Spirit
Sunderland boosted their survival hopes with a second home win when coming from behind to beat Brentford 2-1 and are now 5/6 in the Premier League relegation odds.
Igor Thiago put the Bees ahead in the 77th minute, but their lead was short-lived as Enzo Le Fee levelled from the penalty spot five minutes later and Wilson Isidor headed home the winner in the sixth minute of time added on.
Black Cats manager Regis Le Bris said: "Three points, another tough game with fine margins."
Other Candidates
Brentford In Danger
Fellow new boys Leeds are 2/1 to go straight back down after a 0-0 home draw with Newcastle put them on four points.
West Ham kick-started their campaign with an excellent 3-0 triumph at Nottingham Forest and are 5/2 to fall, with Brentford quoted at 3/1.
Hammers boss Graham Potter declared: "I think the boys have always been fighting and they showed it here. This was a big win for us."
