Relegation Odds

Nottingham Forest have been trimmed again to 9/4 in the BOYLE Sports Premier League relegation odds after suffering a fourth straight top-flight defeat when beaten 2-0 at Bournemouth. Sean Dyche enjoyed a Europa League victory over Porto in his first match as manager since succeeding Ange Postecoglou but the Reds continued to struggle in domestic competition.

Forest are third from bottom with five points from nine games and Dyche said his side were “just not doing the basics” in Sunday’s loss. “I spoke to the group already (and said) ‘raise your minimum’,” declared Dyche. “Don’t accept a minimum day. Don’t look to someone else to do it for you.

“Everyone’s got to stay bloody-minded to go ‘this is my job, this is my responsibility’, and deliver what the team needs, not just what you need as an individual, and I think that’s a work in progress.”

Wolves

Wolves Fans Vent Fury At Pereira

Wolves remained rooted to the foot of the table on two points after losing 3-2 at home to Burnley and are now as short as 1/4 to go down.

Wanderers fought back from 2-0 behind to level things up but Lyle Foster grabbed a last-gasp winner for the Clarets, who have 10 points following back-to-back victories but are still odds-on at 1/2 for a quick return to the Championship.

Molineux turned toxic after the final whistle, with Wolves fans chanting “sacked in the morning” at their own manager after Vitor Pereira – and striker Jorgen Strand Larsen – were involved in heated discussions with supporters in front of the South Bank.

Pereira reflected: “What I said is, we worked a lot and need to fight together. The team gave everything on the pitch to win.

“We understand the frustration of the people and supporters but what I must say is, if we fight united with them, we can win games and compete and achieve our targets – without them, it is impossible.”

Promoted Clubs Making Good Progress

Fellow new boys Sunderland are flying high in fourth on 17 points following a surprise 2-1 success at Chelsea and the Black Cats are out to as big as 7/1 in the Premier League relegation odds. Regis Le Bris has led Sunderland to the best start made by a newly promoted club for 17 years and hailed the “togetherness” of his squad.

Leeds made it a great weekend for the promoted trio by seeing off West Ham by the same scoreline at Elland Road. A delighted Daniel Farke said: “A third win after nine game-days already. It’s pretty good for a newly promoted side, and for that it’s a priceless win for us.”

The Whites have 11 points and are 11/4 to fall, while the Hammers are second from bottom on four points and quoted at 8/13 to go down. Fulham are 5/1 in this market after a 2-1 loss at Newcastle made it four straight league defeats and left them just one place above the drop zone.
