Arsenal are 2/1 with BOYLE Sports in their Premier League outright winner odds after coming through a tricky test at Manchester United in the opening round of fixtures.
The Gunners had to withstand plenty of pressure from a rejuvenated Red Devils outfit at Old Trafford but held firm to prevail 1-0 following Riccardo Calafiori’s 13th-minute header.
Mikel Arteta admitted his side were not at their best but expressed pride in the spirit shown, as Arsenal look to go one better than three straight runner-up placings.

“We did very well to take the set-piece and then there’s the mistakes, some of them unnecessary, some of them unusual, but the way every single player reacted gave us an opportunity to win the game,” Arteta said.
“That gives you momentum and confidence, two very important things.
“Our standards weren’t there, to be fair, but we can still come away and find a way to win the game. The team has to find that resilience throughout the season for 10 months.”
United are available at 28/1 after showing plenty of promise but finishing empty handed.
'Work To Do' For Liverpool
Van Dijk accepts Liverpool ‘have work to do’
Liverpool topped the table by 10 points last term and began their title defence by beating Bournemouth at Anfield, but it was another sloppy defensive display after struggling in the same department in the Community Shield.
The Reds appeared set for a comfortable victory following goals from Hugo Ekitike and Cody Gakpo either side of the interval but were then left stunned by an Antoine Semenyo double.
However, Federico Chiesa put the champions back in front on 88 minutes and Mohamed Salah sealed the win in stoppage time.
Reflecting on the defensive display, Virgil van Dijk said: “I think it was much more improved than the last game but there is still work to do.
“The manager already said we are playing with a right-back (Jeremie Frimpong) who came from the Bundesliga, is 24 years old and is trying to get used to how we defend, we play with Milos (Kerkez) who is a very young full-back, very eager and full of energy, who is trying to get used to the way we play.
“It needs time, that’s absolutely normal, but we also played without our six, Ryan Gravenberch, who missed out (with suspension).
“We have to keep working, that’s the main thing, trying to keep clean sheets. We conceded two goals in a transition moment where we have to do better. That’s what we have to work on.”
City Off To Fast Start
City look slick in slaying Wolves
Manchester City enjoyed a much more comfortable 4-0 success at Wolves and are 11/4 to reclaim the crown they held for four consecutive seasons.
Erling Haaland struck twice and new signings Tijjani Reijnders and Rayan Cherki also got on the scoresheet as the Blues began their quest for a seventh title in nine seasons in emphatic fashion at Molineux.
Pep Guardiola commented: “I’m pleased with the result and the first half. In the second we were away from where we want to be, but that’s normal for the first game.
“We punished them on transitions because we have incredible pace and that’s a weapon we want to use, to attack quicker than we did before.”
Chelsea have been eased to 10/1 in the Premier League outright winner odds after being held to a goalless draw by Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge but Tottenham were trimmed to 50/1 following a 3-0 stroll versus Burnley on home turf.
