Arsenal are 4/9 favourites in the Premier League outright winner odds after getting their title bid back on track with a 4-1 north London derby demolition of Tottenham .

The Gunners had seen their lead at the top of the table whittled down during a run of just two wins in seven top-flight fixtures, but doubles from Eberechi Eze and Viktor Gyokeres helped see off Spurs . That victory put Mikel Arteta’s men five points clear of Manchester City , although the Blues do have a game in hand and can be backed at 6/4 to finish at the summit.
Arteta admitted a previous 2-2 draw at Wolves had hit Arsenal hard, but the Spaniard was delighted with his side’s response.
He said, “It feels like we showed what we are made of. I cannot be prouder of what I’ve seen out there, but especially with the context of the way we lived the last 72 hours. “After what happened against Wolves and losing two points with the last kick of the game, it was tough. But that’s the beauty of this game.
“There was no explanation watching the game back, and how the hell we drew that game. From any angle, you say it’s impossible, and you have to watch it again and say it’s not going to happen. “But it happened, and then you have to lift yourself up because you’re feeling angry, upset, and even ashamed.”

Guardiola insists City will ‘never give up’
City had put the Gunners under enormous pressure after completing a hat-trick of Premier League victories by edging out Newcastle 2-1 on home turf. Nico O’Reilly was the Blues’ unlikely hero as he bagged a brace of goals either side of a Lewis Hall strike, before Pep Guardiola’s side held on for a nervy triumph.
Guardiola commented: “When I was at Spurs , and we drew 2-2, someone said why don’t we drop the Premier League and focus on the cups. I said, ‘No, why? Let’s go, let’s try. “I don’t know what will happen next, but many things are going to happen. I don’t know about Arsenal , but I have the feeling we are not going to win all our games.
“Coming (ahead are) the FA Cup , Champions League , Carabao Cup final, international break, many games, injuries – so the best way is to relax now and focus on Leeds . Then we will see. “Win the next game, that is what we have to do, but if it doesn’t go well, keep going. Never give up - 10, or 11 games is a lot of games in the Premier League .” City face Leeds at Elland Road next Saturday, just under 24 hours before Arsenal entertain Chelsea , while the top two in the table still have to meet at Etihad Stadium in this competition in mid-April.
