Premier League & EFL officially cancel matches after Queen's death

Premier League football for Gameweek 7 has been postponed as a mark of respect following Queen Elizabeth's death on Wednesday.

The footballing body announced the news at 11.30am on Friday, while the English Football League followed suit for the Championship, League One and League Two, below.

Rearrangements for all games will be announced in due course, with next week's Champions League matches the next time English clubs will play.

On Tuesday, Tottenham play Sporting Lisbon, Liverpool face Ajax, Chelsea host Salzburg in Graham Potter's first match in charge for the Blues, while Manchester City's Erling Haaland faces his former club Borussia Dortmund.

Domestic matches around the United Kingdom are likely to resume next weekend.
