Michael Smith v Peter Wright
“Looking ahead to night nine in Leeds and kicking things off are Michael Smith and Peter Wright. I’m going for Snakebite here. He is rightfully favourite and he has been playing some good stuff. He didn’t win last week, but he was incredible at times against Jonny Clayton and on a different day he would have won that game.
"He was good at the weekend too in the Pro Tour. He didn’t win a title, but got to a final and put in some great performances. He was resilient with some really good averages against him. So it’s Peter Wright for me to win the opening quarter-final."

Gary Anderson v Michael van Gerwen
“Awaiting Peter will be the winner of Gary Anderson and Michael van Gerwen and I think it will be a Snakebite v MVG semi-final from here. The Green Machine takes on Gary Anderson and the Scotsman beat him on the opening night at Cardiff in this reverse fixture but based on what I saw from both of them last week, I’m going for Michael. He was so poor last week, so I think he will be keen to make up for that and get some revenge on Anderson.
MATCH ODDS
8/15 Michael van Gerwen
6/4 Gary Anderson

Joe Cullen v Jonny Clayton
“The third quarter-final is between Joe Cullen and Jonny Clayton. I can’t look beyond Jonny here. The Ferret was unplayable last week and he has these little spells were he goes off the boil, but he was back at it last week. While Joe Cullen was good in beating Gerwyn Price, I do think Jonny will have a little too much for the Rockstar in Leeds."
MATCH ODDS
4/6 Jonny Clayton
6/5 Joe Cullen
PRICE BOOSTS
Was 2/1, NOW 9/4 - Jonny Clayton Over 3.5 180s

James Wade v Gerwyn Price
“The last quarter-final sees James Wade take on World Number 2 Gerwyn Price. In normal circumstances I would be inclined to back the Iceman, but he is not in a good space at the moment. That hand injury is clearly niggling away at him and he didn’t have a great time at the Pro Tour at the weekend.
“He lost his opening Premier League match last week and the week before, so I’m going for James Wade. He got to the final last week against Jonny Clayton and I think he goes through here to the semi-finals.
“From there I can’t see anything other than a Jonny Clayton v Peter Wright final and I think Peter Wright will win the final with 7/2 available at BoyleSports. They were the stand-out players last week. Peter has been playing some great stuff and I think he will get some revenge on the Ferret and join the van Gerwen and Clayton club by becoming a two-time winner.”
