Former World Darts Champion and Sky Sports analyst Mark Webster has spoken to BoyleSports’ Sarah Kinsella this week to run the rule over another anticipated night of action in the Premier League as it moves to London to crown the fifteenth nightly winner.

The darts pro is predicting five-time Premier League champion Michael van Gerwen to have an epic night in the O2 and has tipped the Dutchman up at 10/3 to win night fifteen.

Gerwyn Price v Jonny Clayton

“Looking ahead to night fifteen in London and kicking things off in the opening quarter-final are Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton. This is the tie of the night for me.

"If this was a few weeks ago I’d be backing Jonny all the way and not that his form has regressed, but I think Gerwyn has upped it. He comes into his own at the business end of an event and he has had a taste of those play-offs now, so he will make a massive push."

"I think Gezzy will win this opening match. He has the darts and might steal it in the deciding leg and could be in the top four before Peter Wright even plays.”

Michael Smith v Michael van Gerwen

“Awaiting Gerwyn Price will be the winner of Michael Smith v Michael van Gerwen. Smith has been playing better and is going to have a good end to the Premier League in terms of form, but he has left it too late now to make the play-offs."

"I think Michael van Gerwen will win this and book a semi-final clash with the Iceman so we will have a repeat of the final from last week in Sheffield, which should be a belter.”

James Wade v Peter Wright

“The third quarter-final is between James Wade and Peter Wright. Peter has been in indifferent form and withdrew from the weekend action. He is on a terrible streak at the moment for his standards."

We don’t know how James Wade has recovered from his illness last week. Peter Wright needs these points and needs must. I think the Snakebite will pinch a win here and that top four race will go right down to the wire."

"It’s a must need win for Peter and he hasn’t been winning on the stage and he needs a change in fortune.”

Joe Cullen v Gary Anderson

“The last quarter-final sees Joe Cullen take on Gary Anderson. I think Cullen will beat Gary. They had an ill-tempered game the last time they met in Rotterdam, but Joe has probably left it too late for a top four finish."

"He can end his campaign on a little bit of a high and win this. I don’t see him gate-crashing the top four, but he has offered a lot to the Premier League and can hold his head high."

“From there I can’t see anything other than a Michael van Gerwen win. I think he will get the better of Gerwyn Price in the semi-finals and I think Peter Wright will get the better of Joe Cullen.

"MVG will surely win another night whether it’s this one or Newcastle, but he is my pick at 10/3. It will set up a mouth-watering top four battle if that’s the way it goes.”

BoyleSports have offered Webster a £200 charity bet for every week of the Premier League. He has chosen Michael van Gerwen to win his opening quarter-final with a Full House with proceeds going to Parkinson’s UK. There is already £1,300 in the kitty, so hopefully more can be added on Thursday evening.
