Premier League Darts Night Playoff Preview
Luke Littler vs Gerwyn Price – 7.15 pm
Player | Odds | Chance |
---|---|---|
Luke Littler | 3/10 | 76.9% |
Gerwyn Price | 12/5 | 29.4% |
Luke Littler
Luke Littler has been the standout player in this season’s Premier League of Darts topping the league table with 45 points following 27 wins and only 10 defeats throughout the competition with that form giving him victories on nights 5, 7,8, 13 and 16.
It’s no surprise that this darting sensation has such a dominant record given the fact he leads both the highest average statistic with one of 102.43 as well as being the most prolific finisher in the competition with 44.94%.
Last week Littler made it 5 Night victories from 16 events to go into the playoffs in rampant form. He opened his night with a comprehensive 6-1 victory over Stephen Bunting where he posted a staggering average of of 114.37. That was followed by a 6-4 win over Nathan Aspinall though his average was only 98.42 for that game before eventually beating Luke Humphries 6-3.
The defending champion of this event and the dominant performer so far in the 2025 iteration of this event, it’s very hard to look past him retaining his title.
Gerwyn Price
Gerwyn Price earned the last remaining Premier League spot after finishing fourth on the table with 24 points following a record of 14 wins and 13 defeats to finish 4 points ahead of Michael van Gerwen with the crucial difference being his victories on nights 3,6 and 12.
Of the four semi-finalists, The Ice Man has the third highest average with a 96.60 though it's only 0.07 lower than Luke Humphries. It’s in the finishing stakes where he will need to improve the most with only a finish rate of 38.06% which is the second worst of the entire competition.
Last week Price came out on the wrong end of a 5-6 thriller against Chris Dobey with both players averaging 103.96 and 108.91 respectively.
Price will be looking to go one better than his runner-up result in 2023 but if he overcomes Luke Littler in his semi-final then he may build up an unstoppable head of steam.
Best Bet: Premier League Winner Luke Littler – 5/6
Premier League Winner Luke Littler – 5/6

Luke Humphries vs Nathan Aspinall – 8.15 pm
Player | Odds | Chance |
---|---|---|
Luke Humphries | 1/3 | 75% |
Nathan Aspinall | 11/5 | 31.3% |
Luke Humphries
Luke Humphries has been another prolific performer in this year's Premier League and though he finished 11 points back of Luke Littler he reached only one less final with 3 wins and 5 runner-up finishes to the league leaders 6 and 3. Humphries's night victories came on nights 1, 4 and 14.
His average of 99.67 and finishing rate of 41.11% means he’s been the “best of the rest” so far in this competition but if at his best on Thursday Night he can go extremely close to landing his first Premier League title.
Last week he opened his night with a 6-4 win over Rob Cross following a 97.41 average before comprehensively beating Chris Dobey 6-2 where he averaged a brilliant 106.04 to book his place in another final.
It’s there where he met Luke Littler for the third consecutive night and his second successive loss after a disappointing 92.93 average contributed to him losing 6-3.
Nathan Aspinall
Nathan Aspinall may just be the player who has sneakily fallen under the radar ahead of the Premier League Playoff Night finishing in 3rd place only 8 points behind Luke Humphries following a record of 15 wins and 14 defeats with the highlight being his victories on night 10 and 15
Of the four semi-finalists he has the lowest average of the tournament so far with only one of 95.70 and his average of 38.41% is only better than Gerwyn Price (38.06%). However, in the last couple of weeks, he’s shown bottle in abundance with one-night victory and one semi-final matching the results of Luke Littler
He opened last week with a 6-2 win over Michael van Gerwen following an average of 98.72 which secured his place in the playoffs over his opponent. Though he did then get undone by Luke Littler 6-4 the averages between both weren’t too different with a 98.42 to his 96.42.
Aspinall is a former runner-up in this event back in 2020 and I think he has every chance of reaching another final on Thursday Night.
Best Bet: Nathan Aspinall – 11/5
