With Sir Keir Starmer facing mounting calls for him to quit 10 Downing Street after Labour's woeful local election results, we're taking a look at the next UK Prime Minister odds to see who could step in if he does stand down.
Starmer has come out fighting, but the number of Labour MPs telling him to set out a timetable for his departure is significant, and these are the predicted front-runners should a leadership contest ensue:

Andy Burnham
ANDY BURNHAM @ 11/4
The so-called 'king of the north' was seen as the ultimate wildcard when Starmer came under intense pressure back in February, but is now a well-backed favourite this time around.
Burnham , the Mayor of Greater Manchester , was blocked from bidding to run in the Gorton and Denton by-election earlier this year, a move which has been criticised by the likes of Cabinet minister Lisa Nandy and Starmer's former deputy Angela Rayner . His supporters would probably need a longer timetable to allow Burnham to return to Parliament and enter any leadership race, but there is no doubt where the momentum lies at this stage.
Ed Miliband
ED MILIBAND @ 11/2
The Energy Secretary reportedly privately told Starmer to consider stepping down last week, and close ally Miatta Fahnbulleh was quick to make her views public.
Housing, communities and local government minister Fahnbulleh told the Prime Minister 'to do the right thing for the country and the party and set a timetable for an orderly transition'. Dubbed 'Red Ed' by the tabloids during his time as Labour leader from 2010 to 2015, some would consider it a step backwards to bring in the MP for Doncaster North , but others have suggested he is the only candidate capable of uniting the current Government.
Wes Streeting
WES STREETING @ 4/1
The Health Secretary is well known to harbour leadership ambitions and could be the one to benefit most from a swift exit by Starmer .
One of Labour's most recognisable faces, Streeting is a confident media performer who has shown he can nimbly adapt to a wide range of situations and circumstances. Significantly, Joe Morris , a parliamentary private secretary (PPS) to Streeting , was among the first to resign their position on Monday, declaring Starmer 'has lost the confidence of the public'. Morris added: 'It is in the best interests of the country and the party that the Prime Minister sets out a swift timetable to ensure that a new leader is in place to regain the confidence of the public and to ensure that the government can deliver on the commitments it has made.'
Angela Rayner
ANGELA RAYNER @ 9/2
Rayner once described herself as 'John Prescott in a skirt' and referenced her fellow former deputy prime minister in a strong speech at the Communication Workers Union (CWU) conference.
Having been a harsh critic of the current Labour leadership of late, she declared: 'The late John Prescott used to tell me: You've got a voice, kid, use it. He'd be fighting back for what he believed in, a bold vision for a better country, and we have to do exactly that.' Rayner is to many Labour supporters the authentic voice of the party's traditional values, but she is still awaiting the outcome of a review into her tax affairs and backing Burnham's return to Parliament may suggest she sees teaming up with him as the way forward.
