Wayne Rooney has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with Major League Soccer club DC United and will move to the US once the mid-season transfer window opens on July 10th.
The Everton striker’s debut appearance will be against Vancouver on the 15th July with his new club’s new Audi Field Stadium opening on the 14th July.
We have made the former Manchester United number 10 a 6/4 shot to score on his debut.
Rooney may not be the blessing that DC United need to win the MLS Cup for the first time since 2004. They are an outside shot at 200/1 to win it this season
The now retired England international is priced at 33/1 to come out of retirement at any stage. Rooney is the current record goalscorer for England and Manchester United.
A move back to England in the January transfer window currently looks unlikely at 16/1.
