Tubs Return Rumours Gather Pace
Speculation is mounting about a possible return to RTÉ for Ryan Tubridy, with BOYLE Sports releasing odds on what could be next following a headline-grabbing few days for the former Late Late Show host.
Tubridy left RTÉ in 2023 after an acrimonious fallout surrounding an alleged under-declaration of his salary, but talk of a reunion has resurfaced after he stopped short of ruling out a return to the national broadcaster.
Following his shock departure from his Virgin Radio show shortly before Christmas, the Dubliner is now just 5/1 to be back in a presenting role at RTÉ by the end of the year. Punters also expect Tubridy to make headlines by returning to The Late Late Show, this time on the other side of the desk as a guest facing questions from his successor, Patrick Kielty.
An eventful off-air winter saw Tubridy tie the knot with long-term partner Clare Kambamettu, and more new chapters are on the betting radar, including a potential appearance on Celebrity Traitors, which is priced at 4/1.
Brian O’Keeffe, spokesperson for BOYLE Sports, said:
“Tubs is never out of the conversation for long, and whether it’s a surprise RTÉ return, a stint on The Traitors or a blockbuster Late Late appearance, there’s a real sense that he could be heading back into the spotlight.”
