Jurgen Klopp’s number two did not fly to Rome with the Liverpool squad this week and was reported to have agreed to take up the Arsenal position by a publication in his homeland of Bosnia.
A surge in bets saw his odds collapse from 33/1 all the way into 3/1, despite Liverpool’s insistence that he hadn’t quit the Anfield dugout and was instead on leave due to personal reasons.
We fear there could be something concrete in this as the Bosnian source who prompted the gamble also broke the news that Klopp and Buvac were Anfield-bound before Brendan Rodgers had even left the club.

Following the signings of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrik Mkhitaryan, Buvac would become the third ex-Borussia Dortmund employee to join the Arsenal ranks since the German club’s scout Sven Mislintat was appointed Head of Recruitment at The Emirates in November.
Juventus manager Max Allegri is second in the market at 7/2, with Luis Enrique and Brendan Rodgers at 6/1 and 15/2 respectively having seen the bulk of the early money in the race to take over from Arsene Wenger.
