The NFL heads to France for the first time on Sunday, with the New Orleans Saints, whose city has deep French roots, designated as hosts to face the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Both teams will have travelled to Paris in good spirits following wins last week, but preference is for the Steelers on this season’s overall form.
With Aaron Rodgers doing his best to roll back the years, Pittsburgh are playing consistently well enough to be regarded as a percentage pick to prevail by more than 3.5 points at 20/21 for our initial Saints vs Steelers prediction.

New Orleans Saints Form Guide
The Saints secured their second win of the season when upsetting the New York Giants 34-27 on the road.
In what was a topsy-turvy contest, New Orleans recovered from going 10-0 down to rattle off 34 unanswered points before the Giants rallied late on.
Young quarterback Tyler Shough showed some nice touches at MetLife Stadium, but there’s no doubt the Saints were given a helping hand by his opposite number Jameis Winston, who threw two interceptions before being benched.
Prior to that much-needed success, the Saints had suffered three straight home defeats, losing by eight points to the Las Vegas Raiders, by 21 against the Atlanta Falcons and by 10 versus the Minnesota Vikings.
They conceded 103 points in those matches, which makes 15/8 for Pittsburgh to win and over 44.5 total points in this game a tempting option from the Saints vs Steelers odds.
Pittsburgh Steelers Form Guide
Rodgers obviously has some limitations at the age of 42, but the four-time NFL MVP and Super Bowl winner can still be relied upon to hold his nerve in clutch situations, as when engineering a fourth-quarter comeback against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before wrapping up a 26-19 away win in overtime.
The Steelers also finished strongly to beat the Indianapolis Colts 34-22 on home turf the week before and had previously just failed to reel in the Cleveland Browns late on when going down 27-24 on the road.
For punters who don’t mind waiting for a payout, Pittsburgh are 21/20 to outscore their opponents in the fourth quarter for a fourth consecutive game, this time at Stade de France.
A healthy 4-2 record also includes tight wins over the Atlanta Falcons and the Cincinnati Bengals, with pocket rocket running back Jaylen Warren spearheading a strong ground game and rookie wide receiver Germie Bernard showing promise as support to DK Metcalf.
Pittsburgh’s top-10 total defence is also superior to the Saints’ 29th-ranked unit, so the Steelers really do look like a solid selection in Paris.
Second-round draft pick Bernard had 80 receiving yards a fortnight ago and caught 11 passes for 87 yards and a touchdown last week, so all the signs are that he is growing in confidence and rapidly becoming a prominent target for Rodgers.
Let’s add 20/23 for Bernard to have over 52.5 receiving yards here to our New Orleans Saints vs Pittsburgh Steelers betting tips.
