The Browns got well and truly bashed up by a physical Steelers outfit when going down 27-6 in Pittsburgh last weekend but are worth sticking with after previously showing plenty of spirit in a series of tight tussles. Cleveland came out on top in five close encounters, with their biggest winning margin being four points, and were only undone by a last-minute touchdown when beaten 17-12 by the New York Jets on the road in the middle of that fine run.
New Orleans put up more of a fight against the Steelers when only edged out 16-10 in Paris prior to a bye week but that was yet another occasion when their offence misfired and the Saints lack any kind of momentum at 2-5.

49ers vs Raiders

Nobody likes asking a team to win by double digits but the 49ers will be smarting after surrendering their 100 per cent record in a 29-20 loss away to the Atlanta Falcons before a bye week and we fear the Raiders could feel the backlash. This is the kind of game where star running back Christian McCaffrey will look to boost his numbers, while San Francisco’s powerful receiving weapons have the potential to completely overwhelm the opposition.
The Raiders are coming off a wild 38-33 win over the New York Jets but had previously suffered four straight defeats, conceding an average of 35.75 points per game during that barren run, so it will take a heroic effort on offence to stay in this contest.
Bears vs Buccaneers
CHICAGO BEARS -6.5 POINTS TO BEAT TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS @ 20/21
At a time when other leading teams have been wobbling slightly, the Bears have emerged as genuine Super Bowl contenders with a series of impressive displays. Trading for outstanding defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons had an immediate impact as Chicago powered to a 34-17 triumph over the current champions in Seattle and that came after last season’s beaten finalists New England were seen off at Soldier Field.
Tampa Bay have also been improving of late, with a 16-0 defeat of the Atlanta Falcons making it three wins out of four, but we just feel the Bears are on the crest of a wave and a level above right now.
