Detroit Lions vs Chicago Bears

“The Lions” have been regulars in the Thanksgiving slot since 1934  when then owner  George A. Richards negotiated a deal with NBC meaning the only years they missed was during 1939-1944 due to World War 2.

In 2023 they won their division title for the first time in 30 years led by one of the highest-paid quarterbacks in the NFL Jared Goff before losing to the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship game. However, in 2024 they’ve picked up where they let off by flying under Dan Campbell a record of (10-1) and a nine-game winning streak has them as the Super Bowl favourites at odds of 11/4.

“The Monsters of the Midway” have not won a divisional title since their NFC North victory in 2018. Last season they finished with a record of 7-10 which saw them finish 4th in the NFC North. Though Head Coach  Matt Eberflus a role he’s held since the 2022 season. This year their record is 4-7 but interestingly they come to this game with the #1 pick Quarterback Caleb Williams, so it’ll be interesting to see how he performs.

Best Bet: Detroit Lions -10.5 & Over 48.5 @ 9/4

Dallas Cowboys vs New York Giants

The next Thanksgiving fixture has the Dallas Cowboys hosting New York Giants at the AT&T Stadium. “The Cowboys” have had the better of the recent head-to-head between both sides with a perfect 6-0 in recent meetings including two in 2023.

Last season “The Cowboys” finished the regular season with a 12-5 record which saw them in the NFC East though their season ended with a 32-48 to the Green Bay Packers in the playoffs. This season they sit 3rd in the NFC East with a record of 4 victories and 7 defeats. Interestingly they’ve the most points conceded in the division with 319.

Last season “The Giants” finished the regular season with a 6-11 record which saw them finish 3rd in the NFC East meaning they haven’t won a Division since 2011. This year they have a record of 2-9  which includes six successive defeats their last win was a 29-30 victory over Seattle Seahawks in October.

Best Bet: Cowboys to win by 10+ points @ 15/8

Green Bay Packers vs Miami Dolphins

“The Packers” had an interesting 2023 season, initially finishing with a 9-8 record and a 2nd-place finish in the NFC North. They won the wildcard playoff game against the Cowboys 48-32 before being eliminated in the Divisional Playoffs 21-24 against the 49ers. They currently sit 3rd in the NFC North with a record of 8-3 and two successive wins 20-19 against the Chicago Bears and 38-10 against the San Francisco 49ers

“The Dolphins” in 2023 had an 11-6 record in the AFC East which saw them finish in 2nd place before they lost the wildcard playoffs 7-26 against the Chiefs. This year despite a record of 5-6 they’re 2nd in the AFC East and on the back of a three-game winning streak and 20+ points in their last five games.

This promises to be a very competitive and likely high-scoring fixture.

Best Bet: Both teams to score 20+ points @ EVS

Kansas City Chiefs vs Las Vegas Raiders

Kansas had an 2023 incredible season which was simply faultless. They finish the AFC West by topping the table with a record of 11-6. They won the wildcard playoffs, divisional playoffs, AFC Championship and finally the Super Bowl 25-22 against the 49ers. This year they have a record of 10-1 in the AFC West and are 4/1 to win the Super Bowl again.

Their opponents Las Vegas Raiders have been less successful in recent seasons, their last AFC West victory came in 2002 and last year finished with a record of 8-9. This season they currently have a record of 2-9.

Kansas will be far too good it’s only a matter of how many scores they can put up.

Best Bet: Kansas City Chiefs Total Points Over 27.5 @ 10/11
