With a resurgent Chicago setting the pace in the NFC North , this is a huge match for both teams, who have each racked up seven wins this season, one behind the Bears.
The Lions struggled on defence when coming from behind to beat the New York Giants in overtime last weekend but their offence remains a potent force, with Jared Goff throwing two touchdown passes and Jahmyr Gibbs running in a couple more.
Green Bay have been solid enough all season but just don’t seem to have the same range of options with the ball in hand and that could prove the Packers’ undoing at a fired-up Ford Field.
Cowboys +3.5 vs Chiefs
Dallas +3.5 Points vs Kansas City
Both of these sides came through titanic tussles last Sunday to keep their play-off hopes alive and another tense contest could be on the cards, so this feels like a nice handicap start to have on our side.
The Cowboys deserve great credit for fighting back from 21-0 down against the Eagles , improving to 5-5-1 with that gutsy defeat of the defending Super Bowl champions.
Kansas City also trailed for a long time before finally edging out Indianapolis in overtime on home turf and can never be ruled out but Patrick Mahomes still looked some way off his best in that match and a record of four losses from five road trips this term is hard to ignore.
Ravens -6.5 vs Bengals
Baltimore -6.5 Points Vs Cincinnati
Those of us with ante-post betting slips on the Ravens to win the Super Bowl are still clinging to hopes of a miraculous comeback following a disastrous start to the season which yielded five defeats in six outings and an injury to Lamar Jackson .
A subsequent run of five consecutive victories, four since the return of Jackson , haven’t always been pretty to watch but surely the momentum is building and building in Baltimore .
Cincinnati are set to welcome back their own superstar quarterback in Joe Burrow for a first start since Week 2 but after losing eight of nine matches without him, including emphatic road defeats by 38 , 25 , nine and 22 , the Bengals remain easy to oppose.
