The NFL season is in full swing so we took a look at the latest Super Bowl odds to pick out the contenders for the NFL's big prize.

The Favourites

Buffalo Bills @ 10/3

Buffalo are the form team in the NFL right now. They got off to a flying start when they utterly dominated last year’s Super Bowl champion LA Rams in the season opener. The only loss they suffered was against the Dolphins which can be mostly attributed to the amount of injuries they had going into that game.

The Bills look full value for their Super Bowl favourite status and, barring an injury to QB Josh Allen, it is hard to see them not being the favourites heading into the playoffs in January. This team is talented across the roster and has all the makings of a Super Bowl champion so odds of 10/3 for the Bills look like good value here.

Kansas City Chiefs @ 6/1

The Chiefs are spearheaded by the magnificent quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The Kansas City QB is simply majestic to watch when he is on the field and he has already won one Super Bowl and appeared in another during his young career. If it weren’t for a shock defeat in last year’s AFC Championship game then Mahomes could well have two Super Bowls to his name.

The loss of superstar wide receiver Tyreek Hill in the offseason looked like it would be a major blow to the Chiefs but they somehow look better on offence this season than in recent years. Mahomes is now spreading his passes out to more receivers and this is proving very difficult for defences to stop.

A younger and much improved defence is going to give this team every chance of yet another Super Bowl appearance. At 6/1 the Chiefs offer punters a very nice potential return on investment.

The Top Three Betting Favourites For This Season's Super Bowl

The Surprise Contenders

San Francisco 49ers @ 14/1

The 49ers looked like they might be doomed early in the season after young starting QB Trey Lance suffered a season ending leg injury. Former starter Jimmy Garoppolo was recalled from the bench and asked to lead the offence once more.

Garoppolo has done a great job of conducting the offence since his reintroduction to the lineup. He has brought with him years of experience in Head Coach Kyle Shanahan’s scheme which was missing under Lance.

It is easy to forget that this team was likely only a dropped interception in last year’s NFC championship game away from a Super Bowl appearance. This season’s team looks just as good as that team and perhaps even a little bit better on the defensive side of the ball.

With Garoppolo pulling the strings and the likes of Deebo Samuel and George Kittle as offensive threats this team has every chance of winning the Lombardi Trophy.

The 49ers, in a weak NFC could very well end up in February’s big game and this makes San Francisco’s 14/1 price very attractive for bettors.

Baltimore Ravens @ 14/1

The Ravens are led by star quarterback Lamar Jackson who is having his best season in the league since he was named the NFL MVP. Jackson looks like he is an even better passer of the football now than he was back then too.

Many would have questioned this Ravens passing offence going into the season but Baltimore always seems to find a way to move the ball down the field with their unique offensive style. Mark Andrews is a star at the tight end position and second-year wide receiver Rashod Bateman has provided a real spark for this offence.

After a down year in 2021 the Ravens look like they are primed for a deep playoff run this season. If Jackson continues with this level of play and the defence keeps putting pressure on opposing quarterbacks then the Ravens will be tough to beat in the postseason.

Baltimore’s odds of 14/1 with a team that is well coached, talented across the roster and home to a star QB, look like a steal.
