Indianapolis took a big gamble in bringing Philip Rivers out of retirement but he hasn’t been able to stop the rot which has seen the Colts fall to five straight defeats after starting the season so strongly, with problems growing all over the field.

Bills -2.5 vs Eagles
BUFFALO -2.5 POINTS VS PHILADELPHIA
The Bills laboured to a 23-20 success at Cleveland and needed some Josh Allen magic and another stellar performance from running back James Cook ( 117 yards and two touchdowns) to get the job done.
However, they can be forgiven for that less-than-convincing victory as it did come after a titanic tussle in New England and Buffalo will now be delighted to get back on home turf, where they are 6-1 this term.
Philadelphia have recovered from three straight defeats by seeing off two struggling teams in Las Vegas and Washington to clinch the NFC East title, but they still don’t look the same side that stormed to Super Bowl glory last term.
49ers -3.5 vs Chicago
SAN FRANCISCO -3.5 POINTS VS CHICAGO
Brock Purdy has been on fire for the 49ers since they returned from a bye week and while a 37-24 triumph over Tennessee won’t have worried future opponents, crushing Indianapolis 48-27 on the road to make it five straight wins was very much a statement of intent.
Purdy threw five touchdown passes against the Colts and it was also encouraging to see star performers Christian McCaffrey and George Kittle both on song with significant contributions.
Chicago obviously can’t be underestimated with an 11-4 record but they only just managed to edge out a weakened Green Bay outfit in overtime at home last week and have lost away to Detroit , Baltimore and the Packers by bigger margins than this.
Add on the fact that San Francisco need this more on current NFL standings and we’re prepared to risk giving up more than a field goal.
