The Rams have done us a couple of favours during a six-match winning run and are rated the hottest team in the NFL right now after last week’s 34-7 demolition of Tampa Bay, but giving away double-figure points on the road always feels risky, especially as Carolina are no mugs.
Bryce Young and his offence struggled in a 20-9 loss at San Francisco, but the defence is strong, and the Panthers had won six of their previous nine games, including gutsy victories over Dallas at home and Green Bay away.

The Bills slipped to 7-4 with last week’s 23-19 loss at Houston and can’t afford many more slip-ups if they are to enter the play-offs as genuine Super Bowl contenders, but impressive recent wins over Kansas City and Tampa Bay remain fresh enough in the memory for us to keep the faith.
Pittsburgh is never an easy place to go to at this time of year, hence why we’re keen to take shorter odds to keep the spread under a field goal, but the Steelers just haven’t been convincing of late, losing four out of their last six and having to manage an injury to quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Momentum is a massive factor in the NFL, so many pundits won’t look beyond the bare facts that Denver have rattled off eight consecutive victories while Washington have suffered six straight defeats.
However, the Commanders have had a much harder schedule, and the Broncos are yet to prove they are the real deal on the road, having followed up two early away defeats with a trio of narrow triumphs by four, two and three-point margins.
With both teams coming off a welcome bye week, we’re backing Washington to at least keep it close in front of their own fans at Northwest Stadium.
