In this post, we take a look at the next Louth Manager odds as the Wee County begin their search for a new coach.
Ger Brennan has stepped down as Louth senior football manager, leaving a vacancy in one of the most exciting managerial positions in intercounty football. The news broke on Tuesday, a little over a week after Louth’s impressive 2025 campaign concluded.
Brennan, a former All-Ireland-winning captain with Dublin, departs after two seasons at the helm and is now the favourite to take over as Dublin manager following Dessie Farrell’s exit. But his time in charge of the Wee County will be remembered fondly, with tangible progress on and off the pitch, and of course a first Leinster title since 1957.

Next Louth Manager Favourites
Peter Dooley
The early favourite to be the next Louth manager is Peter Dooley at odds of 4/6. Those odds suggest that Dooley is more likely to get the job than not.
Dooley has been heavily involved in the Louth setup for a few years now, earning a strong reputation as a tactical thinker and respected coach. He was part of the backroom team for both Mickey Harte and Ger Brennan.
If the County Board wants continuity with someone who understands the current group and structures, Dooley is a natural choice.

Gavin Devlin
Formerly part of Mickey Harte’s management team in both Tyrone and Louth, Devlin knows this group of players inside out and is well respected in coaching circles.
The Tyrone native has most recently been involved in Louth underage development. Given the current success of the underage setups in the Wee County, and his connections within Louth GAA, it would be no surprise to see Devlin land this job.

Fergal Reel
The man currently in charge of the Louth U20 side. He led the most recent crop of U20S to a Leinster title and an All-Ireland Final.
Reel’s understanding and connection to the top young players coming through in Co. Louth make him a logical choice for the County Board if they see bringing that young talent into the senior setup as a top priority.
*Odds are accurate at the time of writing but subject to change.
Oisin McConville
McConville is another name to watch out for in the next Louth manager betting market.
The former Armagh star has done impressive work with Wicklow, culminating in a Tailteann Cup semi-final appearance this season.
It is understood that McConville is looking for a new challenge after his success with Wicklow, and he has surely earned a shot at one of the top vacancies in the country, given his recent track record.
He is also being heavily linked with the vacant Mayo manager position.
