Following a successful two-year-old debut at Kempton, Saeed bin Suroor’s filly ran with great credit when fourth in the 1,000 Guineas on her seasonal reappearance before possibly paying for those exertions in the Oaks and the Falmouth Stakes.
Having since been freshened up by a break, Elwateen drops markedly down in class for the BOYLE Sports British EBF Rosemary Stakes and can hopefully record a confidence-boosting victory.

Newmarket 13:50 – Miss Justice @ 8/1
John and Thady Gosden’s Southwell and Salisbury scorer has more on her plate in the Group Three Princess Royal Stakes (sponsored by BOYLE Sports) but is clearly going the right way and could surprise a few in this hat-trick bid.
14:25 Tip
Newmarket 14:25 – Touleen @ 5/4
The Group Two BOYLE Sports Home of Early Payout Rockfel Stakes represents a step up in class for Owen Burrows’ juvenile but she has been visually impressive in winning both her starts at Newbury and Leicester.
Zanthos was an odds-on favourite to prevail when they met earlier this month but Touleen hit the front two furlongs out and went on to pull clear, scoring pretty much as she liked, so we see no reason for those placings to be reversed in this quick rematch.
15:00 Tip
Newmarket 15:00 – Opera Ballo @ 4/7
Charlie Appleby’s charge has won four of his five races and can be excused a sole defeat in the Craven at this venue, when he was far too keen for his own good.
Opera Ballo bounced back to beat some rock-solid types in Listed company at Sandown and on the July course at HQ and this galloping type is fancied to power away up the hill in the Group Two BOYLE Sports Daily Racing Rewards Joel Stakes despite a two-month absence.
15:35 Tip
Newmarket 15:35 – Isle Of Jura @ 3/1
George Scott’s five-year-old has a far longer lay-off to overcome, having last been seen winning the Hardwicke Stakes at Royal Ascot in 2024, before picking up an injury when being aimed at the King George.
However, the form of that convincing victory over Goliath 461 days ago has been franked by the runner-up subsequently landing a couple of Group One triumphs and the vibes are that Isle Of Jura will be fit enough to do himself justice in the BOYLE Sports Smart Race Card Godolphin Stakes.
