There was plenty of controversy in Monday's Old Firm between Celtic and Rangers with more than one penalty incident in the game.

We caught up with former Celtic boss and captain Neil Lennon to get his reaction to the big moments in the latest edition of Scotland's biggest derby.

Lennon also gave us his opinion on what the result means for the rest of the SPL season and what the future holds for Celtic's star full-back Josip Juranovic.

Celtic were denied a controversial penalty in the Old Firm, what was your opinion on that?

Celtic should have had a penalty, it's a clear handball. I found it baffling that the decision wasn't given after it went to VAR. I'm not sure if the referees have given an explanation as to why it wasn't given, but after seeing it a few times, it was a definite penalty.

Did you think the Rangers penalty was a penalty?

You can be controversial about the Rangers penalty, but Carl Starfelt really committed himself, gone to the ground.

When you do a challenge like that at that pace and get it wrong, you're putting yourself in jeopardy. Starfelt was out of control.

Did Rangers miss their big chance to start catching Celtic when they conceded the late equaliser by Furuhashi?

The Old Firm was a pivotal moment in the season, Rangers had to win the game to reduce the nine-point lead Celtic have. Celtic will be the happier team out of the two by getting a point away from home while not at their best too.

Going into the second half of the season, you'd have to say Celtic are in a really good position for the league title.

Josip Juranovic has been linked to a few top teams in the Premier League, should Chelsea sign him with the Reece James injuries? Or should Spurs have a look at him?

As an ex-Celtic manager, you don't want to see any top Celtic players leave the club but I guess with Josip Juranovic it's inevitable. The progression he's made is great and he had an unbelievable World Cup. I have no qualms for him playing in the Premier League, he would slot straight in.

Juranovic and Reece James are different players, going forward James is fantastic and his progress at Chelsea has been brilliant, he was a big miss for England.

Juranovic is a bit of a different fullback, he starts deeper and likes to move forward from deeper positions whereas James can get up and down like a wing-back. I would not be surprised to see Juranovic join Chelsea or one of the other top Premier League clubs.
