Former Northern Ireland international Neil Lennon has urged compatriot Conor Bradley to aim to be the very best at his position.

The encouraging words come as the 21-year-old Bradley continues to attract attention for his stellar performances at Liverpool as the club look to win the Premier League in Arne Slot’s first season at Anfield.

Lennon also gave us his thoughts on what is going on at Man City, Ange’s time at Tottenham to date and a potential move up north for a notable young English manager.

Conor Bradley’s Potential

Q: Should Conor Bradley aspire to be the best right back in the world?

Conor Bradley should aspire to being the best right back in the world, it’s about levels of consistency and putting in the work and improving every day.

He is learning from Trent Alexander-Arnold every day and will pick things up in regards to his passing of the ball, his crossing ability and that will only help him going forward.

Q: Is Conor Bradley moving into new levels at Liverpool?

Conor Bradley is fearless, when you see that tackle on Kylian Mbappe that got the whole crowd up on their feet, I’d have been proud of a tackle like that.

He is fearless and is still improving, he’s stronger than he looks and it’s unfortunate that he has picked up an injury because he has been fantastic.

It’ll be interesting to see how much of a contribution he makes when he's back. Liverpool are showing incredible form and consistency but Arne Slot might have to phase out Trent Alexander-Arnold if he isn’t going to sign a new contract.

The Man City Crisis

Q: Is it strange to see Pep Guardiola reacting like he has been?

You can see the effect that the results are having on Pep Guardiola and it’s testing him. We’ve seen that he is human and is going through something that he isn’t used to.

He needed to take a step back to really analyse the situation and work out what is going wrong. He will get there but we have to realise that it’s not easy when you have been a winning machine for so long.

This is the first time in his career that it has happened, but it comes to us all as managers.

Q: Would this summer be the right time for a fresh start?

If he feels he hasn't got the energy or the drive to build another team, that'll be down to him more than anyone else at the club.

I can't see that this current spell lasts forever, although they do look mentally and physically fatigued. They have had so much success but maybe this is one season too many.

They may have to freshen things up in January, there's no question about that because they do look really, really off at the minute.

They're giving up so many chances, which is so uncharacteristic.

Q: Should Man City spend big in January?

Rodri is such a huge miss in midfield that his absence is really telling, they will have to try and freshen things up in midfield because they haven’t spent a great deal recently. It won’t just be a signing for this season but the long-term future.

Ange’s Time At Tottenham

Q: Have you been impressed with Ange at Spurs?

When you watch Ange’s teams, you are going to get entertainment there. There is that unpredictability about him because he likes to play a certain way.

I think it's fascinating at times to watch. I really enjoy the attacking philosophy and although Spurs fans enjoy it, they do want to see some consistency.

Last season he didn't play European football so they were able to start the season in great form. I just think that with both European games and domestic games it can take a toll.

Never Say Never To A Scotland Move For Wayne Rooney

Q: Could Wayne Rooney end up managing in Scotland?

Wayne Rooney managing in Scotland? Never say never.

He looks determined to be a successful manager and he’s digging in at Plymouth, they just have that inconsistency in playing at home and away from home at the moment and that’s where they have been struggling.

He has plenty to concentrate down there before thinking about his next job, but who knows what will happen in the future.
