Na Fianna v Sarsfields Betting Preview
Sarsfields will require only a minor upset of the odds if they are to overcome Na Fianna in this weekend’s All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship final, the first ever featuring a clash between sides from Dublin and Cork.
BoyleSports rates Sars narrow underdogs in the chase for the trophy at 6/4, with Leinster champions Na Fianna set to start as 8/11 favourites to get the better of a battle between two sides chasing their first All-Ireland crown.
The Munster champions booked their place in the final before Christmas when they dashed Slaughtneil’s hopes with a narrow one-point victory in Newbridge and are the third side from East Cork chasing All-Ireland success after finals last weekend at different levels for Russell Rovers and Watergrasshill.
Na Fianna’s debut in the All-Ireland decider also came via a slender one-point victory over Loughrea and with Sarsfields well backed this week, the betting suggests a one-point margin could be enough to decide Sunday’s clash at Croke Park.
Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BoyleSports said: “It’s not the All-Ireland final the betting predicted, but it’s teed up to be an absolute cracker. A slight majority expect the Dubliners to earn the bragging rights, but there is very little to choose between them and we expect the scoreline will reflect it.”
