Moyes Is Solid, I Should Know

You can't see Man City losing over Christmas given the form they're in although it's a tough few weeks for them. I just think they've so much strength and depth within the squad, they can cope with all the fixtures over the festive period.

City will continue to dominate and it's up to the likes of Man United, Chelsea and Liverpool to try to get some consistency and really go after them because Guardiola's men are just far too resolute at the moment.

Moyes will keep West Ham Up
I saw David Moyes say he thinks he's capable of doing the job at any club in the world but you have to look at the context in which it's taken in. I would guess David was asked that question outright and he has to back himself when he's been asked an awkward question.

The Hammers have been great recently, a brilliant win at Stoke on Saturday last, 7 points from a possible 9 that included games against Arsenal and Chelsea.""

The manager has managed to instill a bit of solidity there, which you would expect from a David Moyes side and having worked under him, he is excellent at setting up sides not to get beaten.

David has always had an attacking element to his teams throughout his career and you can see West Ham are starting to pick up points and get a bit of belief and consistency so I think they'll be safe given they've got a strong enough squad.

Rooney's doing great, but Everton need a striker
Wayne Rooney is not the player he was 6 or 7 years ago when he was scoring goals regularly as a number nine for Man United. I think everyone accepts that he's now a player that likes to play a little bit deeper but he's still a goal threat. We all thought if he got into double figure by the end of May next year it will have been a great season and he's already hit that in December.

If Everton had signed a decent centre forward in the summer who you would expect to score 15-20 goals, they would be in such a different position.""

It's imperative that Sam Allardyce gets a good number nine into the club in the January transfer window. They failed to do it in the Summer and it was ultimately Ronald Koeman's biggest downfall when he made all the signings but didn't replace Romelu Lukaku.

I would imagine Big Sam recognises they desperately need someone who can replicate Lukaku's goals but that's going to be difficult for Everton to get at the moment.
