Meath have moved into third favourites for their bid to retain the All-Ireland Senior Ladies Football Championship next year after they pulled off a final upset against Dublin at Croke Park on Sunday.

Dublin’s bid to win a fifth All-Ireland title in a row suffered an early setback when Emma Duggan found the net after just seven minutes and the underdogs never surrendered their early advantage, allowing Shauna Ennis to become the first Meath woman to lift the Brendan Martin Cup.

Now the Royal County, who were on the verge of a semi-final exit before a stunning late comeback against Cork,

are among the leading contenders next year after being quickly backed into 8/1 from 14/1 off the back of their first All-Ireland win.""

Dublin are odds-on favourites at 4/6 to get their hands back on the cup next year, with 3/1 shots Cork rated their biggest danger as the Rebels bid to move ahead of Kerry in the all-time records by being crowned champions for a twelfth time.
