Conor McGregor is now 7/2 from 4/1 to beat Floyd Mayweather ahead of their historic fight next week.

Traders were forced to shorten McGregor from 4/1, following two high stake wagers placed overnight and today.

The UFC fighter was cut to 7/2 after €10,000 was placed on the Crumlin native last night at 4/1 while we laid another €5,000 at 7/2 this morning.""

Mayweather is the overwhelming favourite at 2/9 to win the super-fight on August 26th, but so far, more money has been placed on McGregor to triumph against the odds.

McGregor, the man of many a prediction, has committed to knocking out the undefeated boxing champion within four rounds which is priced at 25/1, a claim that the boxing world has unanimously laughed off.

The upcoming Las Vegas super-fight is poised to become one of the biggest fights in the history of boxing in terms of betting turnover.
