Humphries Second Favourite to Avenge 2024 Final Defeat

Luke Littler and Luke Humphries head the list of BOYLE Sports World Grand Prix 2025 odds after the first round draw for this year’s renewal was completed on Monday.

World champion Littler is chasing a first title at the double-start event, which will be played at Leicester’s Mattioli Arena and runs from October 6th- 12th.

Number two seed Littler has been chalked up as 7/4 favourite, having been handed an opener against Gian van Veen, with last year’s beaten finalist Luke Humphries hot on his tail at 11/2 as he prepares for a first-round clash with Nathan Aspinall.

Michael van Gerwen, who faces Dirk van Duijvenbode in the opening round, is set to start as 8/1 third favourite in his bid to be crowned World Grand Prix champion for a seventh time. 2024 champion Mike De Decker meets Peter Wright in the opening round and faces odds of 50/1 for his title defence.

Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BOYLE Sports, said:

The double-in element adds a level of intrigue to this event, and while Luke Littler is an ever-present at the top of the betting nowadays, Luke Humphries seems to have mastered the format. He has reached the final for the last two years, and we’ve also witnessed plenty of shocks, so we’re anticipating a very competitive week at the oche.”

BOYLE Sports has also launched an exciting charity initiative for this year’s tournament. The ‘D20 for £20’ Charity Challenge will see BOYLE Sports contribute £20 for every double 20 that is hit during the week-long tournament, with the player who hits the most double 20s throughout the week choosing what charity will benefit from the lump sum.
