Harry Kane is one of the great strikers of his generation but many people think that he will never win a trophy with Spurs.

We got the chance to sit down with Louis Saha who enjoyed a brief stint at Tottenham during a career which most will remember for his time at Old Trafford.

Saha revealed to us whether he thinks Kane should retire at Spurs and gave us his take on some of the other most pressing issues at the London club.

Do you think Kane should retire at Spurs?

Kane will be so disappointed not to have a trophy in his career - a Premier League, La Liga or any kind of trophy.

He’s a brilliant player and will retire a legend but having no trophy will be so sad for him - he deserves it.

I still think Spurs can win a trophy with him there and I think Spurs fans would love to see him remaining there.

Why do you think Yves Bissouma has failed to live up to expectations so far this season?

I don’t know why Bissouma has struggled. He’s technically brilliant and physically he’s a beast.

It’s a strange one and Tanguy Ndombele also struggled and went back to Italy.

Conte’s frustration is coming from midfield as there’s talent there but we still need experienced players - look at what Christian Eriksen has brought to United.

Casemiro is a legend, five-time Champions League winner and he’s changed United massively.

I think Spurs have asked too much of Bissouma too quickly.

Should Spurs make a late swoop to sign Weston McKennie too?

I’m not sure why Juventus would want to sell Weston McKennie on the cheap.

I know they want around £20m and that could be an indication that he’s not a guarantee to play better than what they already have.

Signing someone like Casemiro, who’s won five Champions Leagues, guarantees success.

He’s got great potential but it’s not what Conte needs.

There’s talk of Jordan Pickford replacing Lloris, what do you make of this?

I’m not sure about Pickford as I don’t think you’ll find a better player than Hugo Lloris as a captain and as someone who knows the club and the progression that this club needs to reach the top.

Lloris hasn’t shown that he’s a weak link - he’s still a great goalkeeper.

Just like De Gea, he’s still a top player who can play at the highest level.

Pickford could be a good choice, he’s a top goalkeeper, but I am not sure he’s way better than Lloris - so it doesn’t make much sense.

Are you confident Sunderland will get back to the big time soon?

I really would love to see Sunderland back in the Premier League - they’re a great club and it’s a brilliant town. The Newcastle-Sunderland rivalry is brilliant, too.

But I didn’t play that long for Sunderland and I didn’t score, so I didn’t really enjoy my time as much as I did at other clubs.

Most times I had a new club. I really enjoyed it and adapted well, it was a shame I didn’t have the impact I wanted at Sunderland.

But they’re in good position and three or four points behind the promotion places so I hope they go up as they belong in the Premier League.
