ROAD TO PARIS
Late goals from Mo Salah and Andy Robertson handed the Reds a 3-1 final day victory over Wolves in the Premier League.

But their 92-point haul was not enough as Manchester City overturned a 2-0 deficit at home to Aston Villa to secure a fourth title in five seasons.

Pep Guardiola’s side had been on the verge of setting up an all-English Champions League final between the title challengers.

But two late goals from Rodrygo forced their semi-final tie with Real Madrid into extra-time before Karim Benzema’s penalty bagged a 6-5 aggregate win for the newly crowned Spanish champions.

The dramatic twist saw the record 13-time European champions chalked up at 13/8 to lift the famous trophy again.

BETTING

The latest betting with BoyleSports has seen Carlo Ancelotti’s side clipped into 7/5.

The chances of Liverpool winning the match in 90 minutes have also drifted from 20/23 to 21/20, while Real Madrid are now 5/2 from 3/1 to wrap up a final victory in regulation time.

A repeat scoreline of 3-1 in favour of the Spaniards, as played out in the last final meeting between the pair in 2018, is rated a 25/1 shot.

Liverpool are 10/1 to win the final via a penalty shootout as they did against opposing manager Carlo Ancelotti when he was in charge of AC Milan for the action-packed final of 2005.

It’s no surprise to see the early goalscorer betting dominated by Karim Benzema and Mo Salah, who are very much in favour with punters to add another chapter to their goalscoring exploits this season.

Salah’s strike against Wolves took his Premier League tally to 23. This ensured a share of the golden boot after Son grabbed his share of the spoils with a brace against Norwich.

Benzema comfortably topped the scoring charts in the La Liga with 27 goals, nine more than his nearest rival, former Red Iago Aspas.

The prolific duo are fighting it out as 4/1 joint favourites in the first goalscorer betting.

A goal at any time for Salah (11/10) is rated marginally more likely than one for Benzema (5/4).
