Waraths 39-point underdogs for Saturday clash
The British & Irish Lions are now just even money with BOYLE Sports to claim a 3-0 test series victory over the Wallabies after a bright start to their tour in Australia.
Two wide-margin victories have been recorded by Andy Farrell’s men in the southern hemisphere as they bounced back from a juddering defeat at the hands of Argentina in Dublin, the first opening match loss of a Lions campaign since 1971.
Australia Face Fiji Fight
The side will take to the pitch as 1/500 favourites against this weekend’s rivals, Waraths, but Australia face a slightly stiffer test when they kick off their summer against Fiji in what will be a first appearance for the Wallabies since their narrow loss to Ireland at the Aviva Stadium in November.
A ready win is expected for the Aussies (1/12) against their South Pacific rivals (6/1) but they are set to concede the favourites tag to the Lions when the teams clash at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.
The Wallabies are set to take to the pitch on the Gold Coast as the 21/10 underdogs, with Andy Farrell’s men marked out as hot favourites at 4/11. With the Lions securing a 2-1 test victory over the Aussies in 2013, including a narrow two-point victory at the Suncorp Stadium, they are now 1/3 to follow up 12 years later.
Brian O’Keeffe, spokesperson for BOYLE Sports, said:
“It may have been a disappointing defeat in Dublin to kick-off the campaign, but punters are clearly expecting a revitalised Lions side to roar back in style Down Under and confidence is building in a clean sweep against the Wallabies.”
