In this post, we bring you a Limerick v Dublin prediction plus all the odds as we preview this All-Ireland Hurling quarter-final clash.

Limerick will reappear on Saturday for the first time since a heartbreaking penalty shootout Munster Final loss at the hands of Cork. A win here will set them up with a semi-final date against Leinster champions Kilkenny.

Dublin come into this game off the back of a facile 3-25 to 0-13 preliminary quarter-final win against Kildare. The last time these teams faced off in the Championship was all the way back in 2015. The Boys in Blue claimed a dramatic victory that day. This time around, a different beast awaits them. If they can replicate that victory from 10 years ago, it will no doubt go down as one of the great upsets of modern hurling.

Limerick v Dublin will be played in Croke Park.

Despite Limerick being entitled to a neutral venue, the norm for All-Ireland Hurling quarter-finals, they have agreed to play this game in Croke Park. The reason behind this is likely to give younger players a chance to get accustomed to the Croke Park surroundings ahead of a potential All-Ireland semi-final and final.

Limerick v Dublin Prediction

Prediction: Limerick 2-22 – Dublin 1-20

Limerick enter this clash as strong favourites, having shown consistent form throughout the season and taking Cork to the wire in the Munster final. Their skill, experience, and ability to perform in big matches give them a clear edge over Dublin, who have done well against lower-ranked teams but struggled against top opponents in this year’s Championship.

Limerick should have enough to win here, but I do think this will end up being closer than what the betting handicap of 11 points suggests. The Dubs have shown that they can perform at the highest level, their second-half performance against Kilkenny comes to mind, but they haven’t been able to maintain that high level for 70 minutes. My prediction is that we will see a similar story here, a close game for the first 55 minutes before Limerick pull away down the stretch to book their place in another All-Ireland semi-final.
