In the end, they fell to a stoppage-time sickener from Olivier Giroud but Adi Hutter’s men are worth sticking with back on home turf.

The wealthy Parisiens have predictably found life much tougher since returning to the top tier of French football following a 46-year absence but there are some encouraging signs going forward. Stephane Gilli’s side twice came from behind at Marseille to be drawing 2-2 entering the final 20 minutes of that match before fading late on and conceding three more goals.
A fired-up crowd is expected for their first home game and facing relegation favourites Metz makes this a golden opportunity to get off the mark.

These teams produced a couple of cracking spectacles last season, with Marseille emerging as 3-2 winners on each occasion, and both sides head into Sunday night’s showdown in good spirits. Lyon have a maximum six points following a 3-0 stroll versus Metz at Parc OL while Marseille put in a five-star performance against Paris FC, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang bagging a brace and Mason Greenwood on target from the penalty spot.
This promises to be the best match of the weekend in Ligue 1 and we don’t think it will disappoint.
