Ligue 1 Betting Tips
Rennes to Win at Angers
Rennes to Win at Angers @ 11/10
We needed Rennes to pick up a point at Lorient last weekend to claim a 27/2 Ligue 1 acca pay-out but Habib Beye’s side self-imploded early on by receiving two red cards inside 11 minutes and went on to lose 4-0.
Will PSG Win The 2025/26 Ligue 1 Title?
However, those prepared to forgive and forget that meltdown can take heart from an opening 1-0 victory over Marseille and last season’s head-to-head record against Angers. Rennes prevailed 2-0 at home in mid-December and then powered to a 3-0 triumph at Stade Jean-Bouin, so let’s back them to reassert that superiority.
Monaco to Beat Strasbourg
Monaco to Beat Strasbourg @ 1/2
The Red and Whites kicked off their campaign with a fine 3-1 home win over Le Havre and played far better than the result suggests when going down 1-0 at Lille. Monaco created a number of good chances at Stade Pierre-Mauroy and could easily have been three or four goals ahead at the interval.
In the end, they fell to a stoppage-time sickener from Olivier Giroud but Adi Hutter’s men are worth sticking with back on home turf.
Paris FC to Beat Metz
Paris FC to Beat Metz @ 20/21
The wealthy Parisiens have predictably found life much tougher since returning to the top tier of French football following a 46-year absence but there are some encouraging signs going forward. Stephane Gilli’s side twice came from behind at Marseille to be drawing 2-2 entering the final 20 minutes of that match before fading late on and conceding three more goals.
A fired-up crowd is expected for their first home game and facing relegation favourites Metz makes this a golden opportunity to get off the mark.
Lyon Vs Marseille Over 2.5 Goals
Lyon Vs Marseille Over 2.5 Goals @ 1/2
These teams produced a couple of cracking spectacles last season, with Marseille emerging as 3-2 winners on each occasion, and both sides head into Sunday night’s showdown in good spirits. Lyon have a maximum six points following a 3-0 stroll versus Metz at Parc OL while Marseille put in a five-star performance against Paris FC, with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang bagging a brace and Mason Greenwood on target from the penalty spot.
This promises to be the best match of the weekend in Ligue 1 and we don’t think it will disappoint.
