In this post, you can find our League of Ireland tips and predictions along with our weekly acca ahead of the latest instalment of Irish Premier Division action.

It’s that time of the week again! “The Greatest League in the World” is back in action Friday and Saturday Night, and there is plenty to play for in the respective title, European and relegation races!

League of Ireland Tips – Matchday 33 Acca Selections

Derry City vs Bohemians – Derry City Win + Under 1.5 Goals @ 5/1

Waterford vs Drogheda – Drogheda @ 7/4

Derry City vs Sligo Rovers – Sligo Rovers Double Chance @ 2/1

Bohemians vs St Patrick’s Athletic – St Patrick’s Athletic -1 @ 4/1

An accumulator with these selections pays at approximately 247/1 with BoyleSports.

Derry City v Bohemians– Friday 7.45 pm, LOI TV

Odds

Derry City @ 8/13

Bohemians @ 15/4

Draw @ 11/4

Preview

It’s do or die for Derry City in the final few weeks of the season, with an FAI Cup Final date at the Aviva on the horizon against Drogheda they will be looking to firstly secure their first Premier Division success since the 1996/97 season. Derry have beaten Bohemians in 3/4 matches this season only losing in their first game in March 2-1.

It would’ve seemed like a biased, absurd prediction at the start of the season if you said Bohemians could be facing a relegation playoff battle and yet with 5 games remaining in their season and only 4 ahead of Drogheda it’s not outside the realms of possibility. However, they do have quality though and the likes of Ross Tierney should drive them over the line if it came to a playoff game.

Prediction: Derry City 1-0 Bohemians

Derry did enough to overcome Bohemians last time out in the FAI Cup Semi-Final 0-2 and I expect a similar result in this game.

Best Bet: Derry City Win + Under 1.5 Goals @ 5/1

Waterford v Drogheda– Friday 7.45 pm, LOI TV

Odds

Waterford @ 13/10

Drogheda @ 7/4

Draw @ 9/4

Preview

Waterford in the space of a few weeks have gone from an objectively brilliant return to the Premier Division masterminded by Keith Long to a disappointingly poor few weeks which has seen them plummet down the table and outside of the lucrative European Spots. However, with the competitive nature of this league, a few positive results could see their fortunes turn one last time.

Drogheda are another side like Derry City who have an FAI Cup Final to look forward to next month. However, while they’ve essentially secured that they won’t be automatically relegated they still have an outside chance of avoiding a playoff altogether if they earn 5 more points than Bohemians do in 5 games in their 4. The club is bouncing with confidence now and I don’t think it's an impossible feat.

Prediction: Waterford 1-2 Drogheda

Waterford are in freefall and Drogheda are flying and I think momentum will carry the away side to what could prove to be a crucial win.

Best Bet: Drogheda @ 7/4

Derry City v Sligo Rovers– Monday 7.15 pm, LOI TV

Odds

Derry City @ 1/3

Sligo Rovers @ 7/1

Draw @ 15/4

Preview

The second in a crucial double-header for Derry City these next few days, the result of which will go a long way in deciding whether they win the Premier Division or not. Derry usually struggles against Sligo though with only two defeats, two draws and one loss in their last five head-to-head games.

Sligo Rovers are in the midst of a solid season where they have put behind people's expectations of a relegation race and are well in the conversation for Europe at this crucial juncture of the season with them 6th and only three points back of Derry City in 3rd place.

Prediction: Derry City 1-1 Sligo Rovers

Confidence is high in Derry at the moment, but they usually struggle against Sligo Rovers and with them in good form also I can see the away side continuing their strong recent record against them.

Best Bet: Sligo Rovers Double Chance @ 2/1

Bohemians v St Patrick’s Athletic– Friday 7.45 pm, LOI TV

Odds

Bohemians @ 8/5

St Patrick’s Athletic @ 7/5

Draw @ 23/10

Preview

The second in the double-header of fixtures for Bohemians which will go a long way in deciding whether or not they avoid a relegation playoff in the coming weeks. Bohemians have done well in this fixture since the 2023 FAI Cup Final loss though winning once and drawing twice.

St Patrick’s Athletic are the form team in Irish Football as they make a late charge for a European Spot had Stephen Kenny taken the reins a few weeks earlier they would likely be favourites for the Premier Division title with it not completely out of the question yet. With current odds of 7/5 to win, they’re well priced for another win in this game continuing their flying run of form.

Prediction: Bohemians 0-2 St Patrick’s Athletic

The two sides are on entirely different trajectories and though Dublin Derby’s are always going to be explosive and unpredictable affairs, I can’t see beyond a St Patrick’s Athletic win in this game.

Best Bet: St Patrick’s Athletic -1 @ 4/1
