After Kerry superstar David Clifford captained the minor side to their fourth consecutive title, concerns have been raised about his future with Kerry as the allure of Aussie Rules grows.

Rumours have been circulating that the AFL may be Clifford’s next stop after he knocked in four goals in the minor final against Derry.

It is currently an odds-on shot at 2/7 that the 19-year-old will start with Kerry Seniors before he joins an AFL team, which is 9/4 to happen first.

Clifford is 6/4 to win an All Star before his 21st Birthday...""

...and a 15/2 shot to win Footballer of the Year before reaching 21.

Next year looks set to be another prosperous year for the Kerry forward and it’s currently 2/1 he will start in Kerry’s first Championship match and 4/1 he will win Young Footballer of the Year.

Should Clifford decide to follow in the footsteps of former minor star Mark O’Connor and join the AFL, Geelong heads the betting at 11/4 as the club that will snap him up.
