Katie Taylor became a two-weight world champion on Saturday night with a unanimous points victory over Greek fighter Christina Linardatou at the Manchester Arena.
Taylor’s last contest ended with a split-decision win over Delfine Persoon in New York, which saw her unify the entire division with the WBO, WBA, WBC and IBF titles.
...with Shane Lowry remaining the hot favourite at 1/10.
It’s still unknown who is next on the cards for Taylor, but three options are available. The Olympic gold medallist said: "I'm a two-weight world champion, I want that rematch with Delfine Persoon and the Amanda Serrano fight. The Cecilia Braekhus fight as well can be made."
Should Taylor contest in a rematch with Persoon, something that the Belgian’s camp has been calling for since her defeat, Taylor is the 1/16 favourite to win with Persoon at 8/1.
It’s a level playing field with both Katie and Amanda Serrano priced at 10/11 and should the Irish champion face Cecilia Braekhus, Katie is Evens with the Norwegian former kickboxer and undisputed welterweight champion the 4/5 favourite, but she is seven pounds above Taylor’s new division.
