Jose de Sousa is now the biggest threat to Gerwyn Price according to a shake-up in the betting after the first round of the BoyleSports World Grand Prix.

There were a series of shocks in the bottom half of the draw on Monday, but de Sousa made no mistake with a 2-0 victory over Glen Durrant, which saw him slashed into 13/2 second favourite from 12/1 to land his second major televised title this weekend.

Gerwyn Price however saw his odds shorten further without even throwing a dart on Monday night as former world champions Gary Anderson, Peter Wright and Michael van Gerwen all found themselves on the wrong end of first round upsets.

The defending champion has been backed down to 2/1 from 5/2 ahead of his second round assignment against Mervyn King, while compatriot Jonny Clayton is the new third favourite having fallen into 15/2 from 18/1 following his victory over Callan Rydz.
