Odds Dwindle on Dubliner Winning Dancing with the Stars
Dublin entrepreneur Jordan Dargan has seen his chances of winning Dancing with the Stars soar after a standout Movie Week performance sent his odds tumbling with BOYLE Sports.
Dargan, who finished third on The Apprentice, delivered a powerful contemporary ballroom routine that earned him an impressive 34 points, making him the second-highest scorer of the night. His rise up the leaderboard has sparked a major gamble, with his odds slashed to 7/2 from 7/1, meaning his chances have halved over the weekend.
The only contestant to outshine him was reigning Rose of Tralee winner Katelyn Cummins, who remains the bookies’ favourite at 5/4 after continuing her run of consistently strong performances.
At the opposite end of the market, Anne Cassin and Paudie Moloney have drifted to 50/1, leaving them as the rank outsiders and the most vulnerable to elimination following the exit of singer Brian Kennedy.
Lawrence Lyons, spokesperson for BOYLE Sports, said:
“Jordan has seriously boosted his credentials, and punters were quick to take notice. His odds have been cut in half, and if he keeps delivering like he did on Movie Week, he could give Katelyn a real run for her money.”
