Why I Like The 20-Minute Red Card
“The 20-minute red card has divided opinion, but I like it. In the World Cup final there was a red card to New Zealand captain Sam Cane and who knows if it would have had an effect on the outcome had he been on the pitch. Then Siya Kolisi gets yellow carded and we’re talking about two inches difference when it comes to a tackle.
“We don’t want to get to a position where there is a Grand Slam decider and there’s a tackle with everyone oohing and aahing over whether it’s a yellow or a red. I think we can go to the 20-minute red and it doesn’t kill the game.”

This Is Scotland’s Year To Win Six Nations
“Sione Tuipulotu is our best player, he is one of the best players in the world right now and his injury has thrown a big spanner in the works. And on paper, Scotland shouldn’t win the Six Nations with the strength of talent that France, Ireland and dare I say it, England have. We always punch way above our weight.
Scotland's World Class Talent
“But with the profile of this team, Duhan van der Merwe, Darcy Graham, Blair Kinghorn playing in Toulouse, Jonny Gray playing in Bordeaux, it feels like now or never. Add in Glasgow winning the URC and we’ve got winners in the team.
"We’ve got some world class talent in the back line that can score tries. Maybe I say it every year, but it has to be Scotland’s year! If not now, then when?
“Teams need dangermen. The best teams are made up of players who can do something unexpected and Scotland have got that now. Van der Merwe, Darcy Graham and Finn Russell, as we know, can do it. Blair Kinghorn is carving it up at Toulouse now every time he touches the ball. I do believe if it’s going to shift in favour of Scotland, it’s going to be this year.”
