With two Grade One events at the Esher track and the Grand National fences in use on Merseyside, punters can choose whether to back these selections as singles or in multiple wagers.

Sandown 13:50 – Lulamba
Only a whisker away from Triumph Hurdle glory in the spring, Nicky Henderson’s charge gained top-level revenge over Poniros at Punchestown and then was foot-perfect on his eagerly-awaited fencing bow at Exeter last month.
Already high up in the betting for the Arkle, Lulamba could add his name to a Betfair Henry VIII Novices’ Chase roll of honour that includes the likes of Seven Barrows superstars Altior and Jonbon.
Aintree 14:05 Tip
Aintree 14:05 – Treasure Planet
Paul Nicholls has claimed victory four times in the last seven runnings of the Listed Wirral Juvenile Hurdle, striking with Cliffs Of Dover, Quel Destin, Monmiral and Liari.
The Ditcheat handler has another strong contender this term in Treasure Planet, who showed some promise on the Flat for Donnacha O’Brien and romped home by 18 lengths at Ludlow on his second outing over jumps.
Aintree 14:40 Tip
Aintree 14:40 – Twig
Ben Pauling has his team in rude health at present, and this likeable veteran goes into the William Hill Half A Mill Becher Handicap Chase on the back of a game victory at Sandown, where he showed all his old enthusiasm for a battle.
The 10-year-old gave Beau Morgan a fine spin in the Grand National earlier in the year, and this event over the same obstacles at a shorter trip should be much more to his liking than the stamina-sapping spring feature.
Sandown 15:00 Tip
Sandown 15:00 – Il Etait Temps
This classy sort returned from almost a year off to help Willie Mullins wrap up a second trainers’ championship when brushing aside Jonbon in impressive fashion in the Celebration Chase at this track in April.
After recently returning to action with a facile victory in the Clonmel Oil Chase, Il Etait Temps looks primed to add a sixth Grade One success to his excellent CV in the Betfair Tingle Creek Chase.
The progressive L’Eau Du Sud commands respect after cruising away from Jonbon in his Shloer Chase comeback, but two-time title runner-up Dan Skelton may again have to play second fiddle to Mullins here.
Aintree 15:15 Tip
Aintree 15:15 – Rambo T
Olly Murphy is another handler to keep onside at Liverpool, and with the red-hot trainer having won this handicap hurdle twice since 2019, his gutsy Chepstow Silver Trophy victor can defy a 6lb rise to strike again.
