This son of Skywalker Farloe – Bottle Of Banter is the only finalist unbeaten in this competition with his excellent semi-final victory resulting is his odds shortening into 9/4 from 7/1.
Owned by Denis Murphy from Killarney, Callaway Pro Am dug deep to chase down the pace setter Born Warrior to win in 29.64 by a length and a half to Crafty Kokoro.
The Jennifer O’Donnell trained Born Warrior 3/1 from 8/1 while the Peter Divilly trained Crafty Kokoro is 5/1 from 10/1 after flying home strong.
Ballymac Finn won the second semi-final for trainer Liam Dowling with this son of Droopys Sydney – Ballymac Petsy clocking 29.48 as the 11/10 favourite and is 3/1 to win the BoyleSports Irish Greyhound Derby.
His litter sister Maries Wedding ran a huge race in second with this Keeley McGee trained bitch 8/1 from 12/1.
Third place Droopys Nice One is the 25/1 outsider in the betting but is not without a chance as we are yet to see the best of this Murt Leahy trained star.
Sarah Kinsella, spokesperson for BoyleSports said: “We now know our six finalists in the 2022 BoyleSports Irish Greyhound Derby with Callaway Pro Am the new favourite for trainer Owen McKenna. He is unbeaten in the competition so far with his odds clipped into 9/4 from 7/1.
"Crafty Kokoro is a big loser for us in the betting with her odds cut into 5/1 from 10/1. It’s a fantastic derby and despite Callaway Pro Am being the favourite, he is a good result for us.
"We feel closer to race day that the public will latch onto Crafty Kokoro as her style of running has captured the imagination with the public.”
