Odds On Irish Summer Weather for 2023

Sun worshippers will be happy to hear that even if Ireland doesn’t beat its scorching 19th century record, the odds on a glorious summer are still in our favour with BoyleSports offering just 5/4   that the mercury will rise to a high of between 31.01 – 32°C, while it’s 5/2 it will climb to a high of between 32.01 – 33°C.

2022 The Warmest Year On Record In Ireland

Last year saw temperatures soar to 33°C just .3°C short of the record, but 2022 did go down in history as the warmest on record and BoyleSports is offering 5/1 that 2023 will be warmer again. According to Met Eireann, 2022’s average shaded air temperature in Ireland was provisionally 10.83C, which is 1.28C above the 1961-1990 LTA making 2022 the warmest year on record, 0.06C warmer than 2007, the previous warmest year.

Sarah Kinsella, spokesperson for BoyleSports, said:

With the long evenings creeping in, and a noticeable shift in the temperature, our sun loving punters are rallying behind the big record being scorched this year. 2023 could be the year that burns the bookies.”
