It is the fillies’ turn to chase Guineas glory on Sunday and Newmarket’s Classic card makes up the bulk of our ITV racing tips.

And with four races from HQ being backed up by two more interesting events at Salisbury and Hamilton, we’re hoping to hit the bookies for six with these selections.

13:45 Oliver Brown Pretty Polly Stakes – Esna (NAP)

Her juvenile form has a strong look to it, with an encouraging runner-up effort at Sandown first time backed up by victory over Morshdi on her return to the Esher circuit the following month.

That felt like a good run at the time and looks even better now after Morshdi emerged as a Derby contender in winning the Feilden Stakes.

Brian Meehan’s filly rounded off her year with a Group One tilt at the Prix Marcel Boussac on Arc day, performing with credit in fourth behind Aidan O’Brien’s exciting and unbeaten Diamond Necklace.

Esna’s relatives have stayed well, so 10 furlongs in the Oliver Brown Pretty Polly Stakes ought to hold no fears and she does have an Oaks entry.

14:20 Dahlia Stakes – Qilin Queen

After recording a career-best in winning a Group Two at ParisLongchamp last July, the Ed Walker-trained filly found it all a bit much in the Yorkshire Oaks and Prix de l’Opera.

This weekend’s Dahlia Stakes represents calmer waters again, though, and while she has a question or two to answer, so do her rivals.

14:55 – Subsequent

Andrew Balding’s charge ran well in the Ebor last year and followed that up with victory at the Leger meeting at Doncaster.

Subsequent has some nice engagements this term and it will be interesting to see if he has progressed again for another winter on his back.

15:35 1000 Guineas – My Highness

Master trainer Andre Fabre has only won the 1000 Guineas once before with Miss France in 2014 but is taken to double that tally this weekend.

There are some similarities, as Miss France was beaten in her trial, the Prix Imprudence – just as My Highness was.

However, while her supporters may have been disappointed on the day at Deauville, Fabre was not, viewing it as he did with Miss France for what it was – just a trial.

Being by Ghaiyyath, the selection, a Group Two scorer as a juvenile over seven furlongs, is only going to improve for this step up to a mile and if she handles the dip, she should be coming home really strongly, with the booking of Oisin Murphy only adding to her appeal.

14:00 – Ziggy Starshine

This two-year-old son of promising young sire Starman overcame a tardy start when a well-backed debut scorer at Bath and although only obliging by a neck, that form was franked when the runner-up went one better at Musselburgh next time.

Hamilton Tips

Hamilton Tips Sunday

14:40 – Elysian Flame

Having become the first siblings to hold a joint-licence in Britain, Samantha and Jacqueline Coward nursed this 10-year-old back to full fitness following a lengthy lay-off and were rewarded with a convincing Beverley victory last time out, with the manner of that win suggesting he can follow up.
