We’re hoping to hit the bookies for six with this Saturday’s ITV racing tips from Newbury and Bangor.

There are five contests from the Berkshire circuit on the box and another competitive affair from Wales for punters to get stuck into.

Here are our best bets for every race on ITV4:

ITV Horse Racing Tips – Saturday

Newbury 13:15 Tip

Newbury 13:15 – Gambino

Title-chasing Dan Skelton takes a strong team to Newbury and it will be interesting to see how this Gowran Park maiden winner on the Flat fares on his hurdling bow after being far from disgraced behind Constitution Hill at Southwell last month.

Newbury 13:50 Tip

Newbury 13:50 – Fresh Perspective

Had his limitations exposed in a couple of hot novice hurdles but previously scored nicely at Fontwell and Wetherby, so is back of interest now making his handicap debut for the in-form Jamie Snowden off a workable mark, especially after being given a wind operation.

Newbury 14:25 Tip

Newbury 14:25 – Heltenham

This track specialist bids to follow up a recent course-and-distance triumph by landing a race he won in both 2023 and 2024.

Although 6lb higher than his win here last month, the runner-up Blow Your Wad was subsequently a fine fourth in the Ultima at Cheltenham, while third home Teddy Blue won a competitive event at Kempton next time out, giving the form a strong look.

Newbury 15:00 Tip

Newbury 15:00 – Getawhisky (NAP)

The six-year-old has always been well thought of by the Skeltons and initially caught the eye on her second outing over timber at Ascot in November, falling when looking the most likely winner.

Getawhisky was none the worse for that when belatedly opening her account in a valuable Windsor event, with connections immediately suggesting a step up in trip and grade would prove no issue.

Remaining at two miles at Market Rasen last time, she was outpaced in fourth after racing keenly in a race that was ultimately turned into a speed test in the home straight, with the reopposing Charisma Cat second and Watamu in third.

However, that run did signal once and for all that extra yardage is required and with the long home straight at Newbury over an extended two and a half miles rated ideal, Getawhisky could prove ahead of the assessor.

Bangor 15:20 Tip

Bangor 15:20 – The Four Sixes

Olly Murphy’s charge has shown little of late but won this event last year on the back of some poor showings, so a revival cannot be ruled out and, while 4lb higher this time, he could be hard to peg back if allowed to stride on from the front.

Newbury 15:35

Newbury 15:35 – Diamond Street

An impressive Doncaster triumph on his racecourse debut earned Skelton’s five-year-old a place in many notebooks and he can show he is a real gem for the future by following up in the Goffs Hundred Grand Bumper.

Held up in rear on his Town Moor bow, Diamond Street looked a class apart as he went from first to last in sublime style, coasting 10 lengths clear.

The Lodge Hill operation sent out the exciting Kadastral to win this last season and will not want to leave the valuable winner’s cheque on the table as they seek to close out a first trainers’ championship.
