With Royal Ascot on the horizon, we’re looking to boost our betting bank with ITV racing tips from Sandown, York and Chester this Saturday . The Scurry Stakes for three-year-old sprinters is the feature event at the Esher track , while a strong supporting schedule includes an Ebor trial on the Knavesmire.

Chester 14:10 Tip
14:10 Chester – Sir Albert @ SP
Andrew Balding’s top-weight has a lot on his plate but came good at this time of year last term and has the assistance of a red-hot jockey in PJ McDonald.
Chester 14:10 - Sir Albert @ SP
Sandown 14:42 Tip
14:42 Sandown – Words of Truth (NAP) @ 5/4
Charlie Appleby’s speedy gelding won three times as a juvenile last season, completing his hat-trick in the Group Two Mill Reef Stakes at Newbury , before signing off for the year with a third-place finish behind Mission Central on Champions Day at Ascot.
That form looks strong, with the winner a legitimate contender for the King Charles III Stakes at Royal Ascot next week following successive Listed wins at Naas this spring, while Words Of Truth was last seen suffering an odds-on but narrow defeat at Meydan in March.
Dropped to the minimum trip of five furlongs on his return to action in Europe , he is saddled with a penalty in the Scurry Stakes, but with an official rating of 110, it will still be disappointing if he is unable to add to his win tally in this company.
Sandown 14:42 - Words of Truth (NAP) @ 5/4
York 15:00 Tip
15:00 York – Al Qareem @ 2/1
Karl Burke’s seven-year-old has been a true star for his connections, winning the best part of £1million in prize-money through 13 wins and 12 other placed efforts.
Al Qareem was a clear-cut winner of this Race To The Ebor Grand Cup Stakes last year from Absurde , has already beaten his main market rival Mount Atlas on the same terms this season and the recent rain is just what he needed.
Sandown 15:17 Tip
15:17 Sandown – Raammee @ 9/2
Roger Varian’s charge won a couple of low-key novice events on the all-weather last year, with a narrow debut success at Kempton followed by a 12-length demolition job in an admittedly weak affair at Newcastle .
Confidence was high for his handicap debut, seasonal reappearance and first start on turf at Sandown just over a fortnight ago and while favourite backers were left counting their losses, he over-raced on his first start since early September and was still beaten less than three lengths.
With that run likely to have knocked the freshness out of him, Raammee can reward those who keep the faith on his return to the Esher circuit.
York 15:35 Tip
15:35 York – Chicago Pope @ 14/1
Johnny Murtagh has swerved Royal Ascot to take in this valuable sprint handicap and the hint should be taken.
With £125,000 up for grabs and with it being for three-year-olds only, Murtagh makes a wise move and the Starspangledbanner gelding is improving.
Second on his reappearance over five furlongs at Cork , Chicago Pope won a competitive handicap in fine style when stepped up to six last time out. He is 4lb higher now but still on a decent mark.
York 15:35 - Chicago Pope @ 14/1
